This is a heartfelt dedication to our friends, family, and community. An enduring reminder that you will never be forgotten.
Death is nothing at all
Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
All is well.
Erin Lynn
Erin wasn’t just a friend; she was a force of nature. She lived with a freedom that many of us could only dream of. Whether it was on the open road or through her art, she showed us what it meant to be alive, to embrace the world without fear, to truly love life, and to drink A LOT of Red Bull.
What made Erin so special wasn’t just her love for freedom or her passion for art—it was her incredible ability to make the best of any situation. No matter what life threw at her, Erin always found a way to turn it into something positive. She had this uncanny knack for finding light in the darkest of times and reminding us all to keep going.
When we first started discussing the idea of launching a non-profit to support the riding community, Erin's excitement was palpable. I told her about it over a couple of bologna sandwiches at a place called Marci Jo's Olde Mountain Store on hwy 11. Her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as she envisioned designing stickers and artwork that would resonate with everyone, but what truly fueled her passion was her deep desire to help others. Erin had a remarkable gift for fixing things—whether it was lifting someone's spirits or easing their burdens, she poured her heart into making a difference. No matter the challenge, she was always there, ready to lend a hand and provide comfort, even if just for a fleeting moment. Her selflessness and unwavering commitment to others were a testament to the beautiful soul she was
As we say goodbye, I know Erin wouldn’t want us to focus on the sadness. She’d want us to remember the joy she brought, the adventures we shared, and the love she gave so freely.
So let’s honor her the way she would have wanted—by living fully, by embracing our passions, and by never forgetting the incredible person she was.
